can't buy the csr?

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. I currently own the dfgt and I want a wheel that works on my xbox 360 so I can play forza. I want the csr wheel, not the elite as my pockets won't allow, but when I click o the csr on the site it disappears for purchase! No info on if it was discontinued or sold out or what. Does anyone know what's going on?

Someone else emailed the webshop and they replied that they are out of stock.  No word when they will get more in, just watch the website.

I emailed them as well, but I just got the reply that "This is a decision of our management. We don`t know when the wheel is back in the shop.
All news regarding our products are released on www.911wheel.com. Please have a look on it!"

So what to believe in?

Exactly my first thought as well. If they were out of stock I'm pretty confident they would tell us, but to say that it's a 'management decision' make it sound like they don't really want to tell us why the wheel isn't on their website anymore. So either they're trying to make us buy the Elite wheel instead by removing the CSR wheel from their site for a while, or I'm guessing it's completely gone for good.

To be fair there has been some quality control issues with the soft covering, and a new firmware coming in, it could well be one of these two things that have caused a delay. It makes no sense to try and push people to the elite as, if you can afford one you get one, if like me you could not then the CSR was the only option. It is also the wheel that is endorsed by Turn Ten and Microsoft. English also is not their first language so sometimes their communications can come over a little blunt. I hear the CSR-E has also been out of stock...a victim of their own success maybe.

If there were issues with the wheels quality, they could have just said in response to my email that the wheel was not avaliable at the moment. If you mean that Fanatec is a German company, and therefor they don't communicate well in English, I guess I could write the same question in an email but this time in German(I'm Danish, but speak German fluently as well) to see if the answer stays the same. I too read that the CSR-E was sold out, but no matter which Fanatec website I enter, be it German, American or Danish, the wheel is there, in stock. And if the CSR currently is out of stock, why don't they hand out that information, which was what the did when the CSR-E was sold out. Makes no sense to me!

It would be a real plus to ditch my dfgt for a better setup for both systems but so far I'm kinda getting scared of Fanatec as a company when it comes to customer service. I call # and get an answer machine. I email and for days no response! They're the only ones with multiplatform wheels so I'm gonna take the leap but I can't afford the elite. How hard is it to just put some info on the site?

Emailed them again in German today, and the answer was (roughly translated) that the wheel was currently unavaliable due to unknown reasons.... WTF?! UNKNOWN reasons? If they don't know, who the helll does?

I've been stalking this wheel a couple of months now, got the approval from the wife to get it and now It's gone! No way could I explain paying over $500.00 for just a wheel to her(Lol!) I want the wheel, elite pedals and shifters for that.

I'm in a bit different position. I've been home for 3 months straight now because of illness and I'm very close to being bored to death! 
So their little "blackmailing-people into-buying-the-expensive-wheel"-trick might work on me, since I'm desperate for something to waste my time on and driving simulation gear is all on my mind, so I might end up jumping on the CSR-elite wheel, along with the CSP pedals and the shifters. I already got my sim-seat, or whatever you want to call it, so I just need something to actually drive with, NAAAAOW!
