Carrera again available USA store, are Standard pedals ever coming back?
After Porsche 911 Carrera wheel disappeared from Fanatec's on-line store last week, I was sure the time has come and that this wheel was finally sold out. In July Fanatec said they are stopping production of this wheel, so that conclusion seemed logical.
Looks like I was wrong, because Carrera is once again available in US.
It is probably safe to say it will not be for sale for much longer.
Some of you may have noticed that Standard Pedals for Porsche Wheels also disappeared from Fanatec's web store recently. I do not have any direct information from Fanatec, but it certainly looks like these were discontinued too.
This is what OndrejKo wrote on our forums last week:
I got the message from Fanatec:
"Standard pedals are no longer available. Alternative would be at the moment Elite pedals or Club Sport pedals."
For now Fanatec has no other budget pedals, but the new CSR pedals should be available later this year and hopefully they will fill the big gap that Fanatec has at this moment. Their cheapest pedals, CSR Elites, cost 149.95 $/€, which makes moving to Fanatec quite difficult, if you are on a budget and do not already have Logitech G25/G27 pedals that you can use with your new Fanatec wheel. "Standard" CSR pedals will cost 69.95 $/€, which makes them considerably more expensive than Standard Porsche pedals, that were selling for 29.95 $/€, but let us not forget that their price was reduced just recently, probably to clear out their stock. Before that they cost 49.95.
