Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel (discontinued, available in EU)

Wheel rim of Porsche 911 Carrera  measures 11.8 inches in diameter, which puts it above almost every other non-Fanatec wheel on the market. It is covered in TPE rubber to provide good grip and durability. There are 8 buttons plus a D-pad on the front and two paddle gear shifters on the back. What differs this wheel from other Fanatec wheels is that this one is gear and not belt driven. What that means is that gears transmit forces from the strong force feedback motor to the wheel instead of a belt. The package includes the wheel, a set of pedals and an H-style shifter. The pedal set consists of three pedals (gas, brake and  clutch), that replicate the original pedals found in Porsche cars. Each pedal offers different resistance with the gas pedal being the lightest and the brake pedal the hardest to push, which makes the whole racing experience more realistic. The shifter has 7 gears (6 regular gears + reverse) and together with the clutch it will really immerse you in your sim racing experience. any sim racers will clearly tell you, that you are not really racing unless you are using an H shifter and you are heel-and-toe-ing.

Wheel itself is highly and easily adjustable. All major settings can be adjusted on the fly using on wheel buttons and its LED display. This includes force feedback strength, steering angle (90-900°), damper zone, deadzone an linearity settings. That means you can easily change these settings while you are in the game, even while driving, which makes finding your ideal setup much easier. You can also save up to 5 different settings and easily load them at any time.

Fanatec Porsche 911 Carrera wheel is fully compatible with PC and PS3 and that includes full Gran Turismo 5 compatibility. This is almost a plug&play product. The only thing PC users have to do is install a suitable driver, while PS3 users do not have to do anything, it just works. Thanks to its adjustable dead zone it also eliminates the Gran turismo 5 force feedback problems while driving in a straight line.
