CSR Elite Pedals review and comparison

As promised, here is my video about the CSR Elite pedals, comparing them to pedals from Logitech G25 kit and Fanatec Clubsport pedals. I hope you like it and I apologize for the delay. Comments and questions are always very welcome.

My Forza Motorsport CSR Elite Wheel video review

It's been a while since I posted something on the website, but I hope my CSR Elite review makes up for it. Please comment! As always, HD resolutions are recommended.

CSR Elite wheel benchmarked

Remember when I sad I will have something very special regarding Fanatec CSR Elite wheel for you, but then did not post it on Saturday, when embargo was lifted? I wanted to take this wheel review to the next level and thought this would be the way to accomplish that. We never see any real benchmarks in wheel reviews, so why not change that practice? Numbers do not lie.

This is not the full review, I am only posting benchmark results for now. The reason these benchmarks were postponed is because I decided to wait for a firmware version that would behave similarly to the firmware that will be available, when the first customers receive their wheels and I was told the one we have now (rev. 717) is indeed very close. I think the results are quite interesting and will not only inform you about the new wheel, but also help you understand how Fanatec's tuning options work and why changing force feedback strength in the game is different from changing it on the wheel. Review of Speedmaster V2.0 sim racing cockpit

This is my review of Speedmaster V2.0 Black Edition. The company is based in Germany, but ships worldwide. After talking to Christian, who is a sales manager at Speedmaster, he decided to give me an opportunity to review their product, so here we are. It was shipped out to me on a Friday and it arrived the following Monday, which is a very short period for shipping something this heavy from Germany to Slovenia.

Unboxing and assembly

It came in two boxes. The smaller contained a seat split in two parts and everything else was in the larger one. Upon opening, I was surprised by how neatly everything was packed and even though the metal parts were not packed in nylon foil, packaging looked good enough to prevent any damage during shipping. I slowly took all the parts out of the box and wiped them to remove any white styrofoam particles left on black metal tubes. I discovered a scratch on one of the parts that probably occured in the factory, but other than that everything was in perfect condition. Read more »

Review of SR Hardware Fanatec SLI-M/SLI-PRO mounting system

I got to review this cool attachment which I already wrote about a while back when it was announced and I was quite impressed by it. It is well made, looks professional, mounts very securely and I was surprised by how much of an advantage an SLI-M can give you with those bright blinking LEDs. Its only disadvantage in my opinion is the acrylic mounting plate behind the top of the wheel rim, that prevents you from wraping your fingers around the rim in the top opistion, but fortunately it turned out to not be a problem for road racing. It would probably be an annoyance for people who drift or play rally with lots of wheel rotation and that is why SR Hardware is already working on an SLI-M/SLI-PRO button box for people who don't want any extra bulk on the wheel. I put some extra effort into routing the USB cable to SLI-M it and it is a great addition to my wheel. I hope you will enjoy my video.

Clubsport now with brass bushings as standard

Good news for everyone planning to buy Clubsport pedals or having them on order. As you may know, Clubsport pedals used to come equipped with plastic bushings but later Fanatec started to offer better bushings made of brass in their Clubsport pedals tuning kit. Well now all pedals ship with brass bushings as standard, so this product just got a bit better. If you want to know more about tuning Clubsport pedals, you should read Delphic Reason's tuning kit review in which he also mentions the two benefits of brass bearings over standard plastic bearings. They have longer life expectancy and also increase the smoothness of the actuation of the pedals (which is in my opinion already smooth with the previous plastic bearings).

I also want to mention that I just posted a video review of Clubsport pedals if you are interested.

Youtube review of the GT2 wheel

I made a video review of Fanatec's newest wheel and uploaded it to Youtube for everyone to see. I hope you find it informative. It has been up for one week and has been viewed 1300 times until now. Thanks everyone. I recommend switching to HD.
