I made a video review of Fanatec's newest wheel and uploaded it to Youtube for everyone to see. I hope you find it informative. It has been up for one week and has been viewed 1300 times until now. Thanks everyone. I recommend switching to HD.
Very well done! What stand are you using in the video? I amm currently using a MS wirelees wheel w/xbox. I ordered a wheel stand for it from wheelstandpro and is expected end of March. I like this wheel so much that I would buy it if I can either get a refund on the ordered stand and buy what ever stand you are using in the video or see if wheelstandpro has a model for the Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 they could send instead of the ordered MS. (apply a credit or whatever) Is this a Fanatec stand? Please tell me exactly what model, and do you like it with this GREAT new Fanatec wheel.
Thanks. You are right, this is Fanatec's stand (Rennsport wheel stand) and it is nice. Of course you can not expect 100% rigidity from any stand, because they are foldable and portable, but it does its job well. IT is also really good looking. You can either buy a Wheel stand pro (I don't know if it comes pre-drilled for Fanatecs, but in case it doesn't you can do it yourself with no problem) or Fanatecs RSWS. The problem with RSWS is that it is currently back ordered until April. If you decide to go with WSP, it's probably best to buy the G27 version, because it's wider and more stable than the regular one.
It did have the latest firmware installed (version 681). 107 is a driver version that you install on your PC (not on the wheel) and has to be downloaded from Fanatec's website.
Have you reviewed a Fanatec product or written a guide about it? Notify us and we will mention a link to it for everyone to visit.
Do you think you can write something informative and useful for owners and future buyers of Fanatec gear? We would be honored to publish it on Fanatec wheel fansite!

Firmware
Nice review. Looking forward to trying mine out. Did it ship with the latest firmware or did you have to patch it to 107?
