New version of Clubsport Pedals spotted again?

Bigbembem spotted something very interesting in InsideSimRacing's video review of GranStand and let us know about it on GTP forums.

If you watch the video, you will see that at 9:34 a non-standard version of Clubsport Pedals is mounted to the pedal plate, while they are demonstrating adjustability of GranStand's pedal plate. It looks like these are practically the same pedals as the ones that were spotted on the famous Japanese blog in September and were referred to as Clubsport Pedals V2 by the blog post author.

If you are interested, I definitely recommend you to check out the original photos from back then. This is how I described them the last time and I think my description is still valid:

Most of the components of these prototype pedals are anodized in black, clutch pedal mechanism is completely redesigned to imitate the engage/disengage feel of a real clutch and while the brake pedal still has a seemingly unchanged load-cell mechanism, there is a CPV Racing shock absorber mounted alongside, probably to make it feel more like a hydraulic brake.

Fanatec has not released any official information yet, so we do not know, if the final version will be similar or when we can expect Clubsport Pedals V2 to be released. Stay tuned.

In the comment section of the video, the ISR guys confirmed that they were the V2 clubsports.

I wonder if Darin and Thomas have managed to sort out their problems...

Darrin also mentions them in a thread.

"Pedals are another story. Won the 2.4 using Fanatec Clubsport V2 pedals. So if anyone is going to rush to say Im trying to bash Fanatec.. Im not.. "

Japanese mod

Yes it looks like the japanese mod, but why do we see it in an ISR review ?

- Option 1 : the japanese modder wants to sell it
- Option 2 : Fanatec is going to update the clubsport pedals

:)

looks good in black

i've held off an order mostly with hope that a 2nd or 3rd production run would iron out some elite wheel issues.. but this is good.. i hope we see version 2 of the csp's pop up on the site soon as i'll put in my first fanatec order as soon as they do.

Well, Fanatec Webshop...

I noticed that you can no longer order the Clubsport pedals in the US online webshop. I wonder what this means...

Man I just got my CSP's,

Man I just got my CSP's, hopefully if Thomas drops makes them we can get a retro fit set to upgrade.

CSP V2

Hopefully, there's a upgrade kit for CSP's V2. That would make my recent purchase of the CSP's v1 satisfying.

it also looks like the japanese modder has done a mod for the belt tension:
